Candles now that is being very organised

On holiday just thought as for once I was in walking distance of a pub I would take advantage so loaded ds in to buggy me and oh ready when the heavens opened. Well all three of us have never been so wet. I had got ds ready for bed so when we got back he could just be popped in bed but he was so wet and soggy from the 10 seconds it took to get back in the house he has had a very late bed time. So no pub for me but a bottle of wine in front of the fire has made up for it.

Typical I have the week off and for the first time for years Dh and I decided we would actually go away for 4 days we have had a hard year and we need a break.
We have booked to go to the Isle of White tomorrow morning Hoping that by 11am the ferry will be running again.
Also have son and a friend down from Liverpool Uni this weekend and due to get a train at 5.45am and we are not sure if that will run from Watford!
Hey Ho we will see what the morning brings.

Very quiet out there at the moment. Heavy rain but no wind. Better have an early night as my weather station is not happy. It says a storm is on the way.

Hi that's very kind of you. I will pm you. Yes we are going from Southampton but we are coming from London. It is tipping with rain here at the moment and has been for the last 4 hours but there is little or no wind yet we had a lovely sunny morning today with a bit of a breeze this afternoon. I went out and cleared the garden and made everything safe but my daughter will be here while we are away so at least there is someone in the house.

Well my son and friend are at the station now and their Virgin Train to Liverpool has left London Euston on time and due at the station at 5.45am and due in Liverpool on time at 8.01 so all good their seeing as at midnight it showed as cancelled.
Now to see if the Ferry leaves for us! Still saying on their website that ferries are cancelled but the news is saying Hampshire has missed the worst of the storms. Think we will see when it gets light. The roads around us are fine, no different than when we have heavy rain and a wind at the moment.

Oh dear the strongest wind recorded so far is off the Needles on the Isle of White 98mph That's where we are headed for our four days holiday! Hopefully it will be better by 11am! I'm packing waterproofs and walking boots.

We are staying in Shanklin.
Well good news. The 7.15 ferry is running so the 11am one should be fine. Just doing a bit of ironing then off for a shower and to pack.

Are any of you working? Pretty wet and windy here I'm dreading going out to collect mindees . Was wondering if i could see if mum could get the children to me - contract doesnt say i have to collect and i dont charge for collection or pick up ? Think it could be easier than me dragging 4 out if they can get 2 to me !! So scary been away for the weekend not prepared food delivery tonight just got basics in bread cheese ham etc :-(

Nothing up here so it's either missed us or it's still on the way. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
love Sarah.

Will be quite gusty in Shanklin so you will come home with no cobwebs x

Yes I'm working, no schoolies today though as its half term here! We went out but little mindees didn't like it, very windy, trees snapping, motorbikes and bins all in roads, causing real disruption. We are making salt dough Halloween decorations instead!!
Hope everyone is keeping safe xx
