Pre RegVisit

I have done everything even had my CRB back this morning.

Does anyone know how long I will be waiting before I get my visit? My application went to Ofsted at the start of October

They told me 5 weeks from the date of payment for application or once the paperwork is all back. whichever is soonest! Ring Ofsted and just chase it if you think its been too long

I would give them a ring, make sure they haven't forgotten you!

I have called them they are waiting on my social services check back which they are going to chase today.

They said they hold onto your details for 5 weeks and then pass your details onto prospectus who then arrange the visit. My 5 weeks is next Friday.

I think I will call them again next week.

I think it depends where abouts you are. I'm in the same situation as you and I've been waiting eight weeks now! I'm in Staffordshire tho. Hope you aren't waitingas long as me!

I'm waiting for my pre-reg visit too. Crb came last Friday so I'm being inpatient but just want it over now

once I knew that was all i was waiting for i called them to promt a visit and had mine within the week!

Took them AGES with me. It's a disgrace really, However now I am fully registered the phone still aint ringing!

I've had my CRB back, just waiting for pre-reg visit now.

I phoned ofsted and they sent the information to prospects on 3rd November.

I phoned prospects on Monday and they said we have the information its not been assigned to any body yet but I will email it over for you now. Expect a phone call.

I am going to phone them every day until I get my phone call

Wow! Good on you - keep up the phonecalls, let us know when you finally get a proper response. I hope the privatisation of ofsted isn't going to slow everything up, they did use that excuse with me (they were busy 'handing over')....

I've got a date for my pre-reg visit

Yesterday at about 5.45pm a lovely lady from prospects phoned to arrange a date!!!!

15th december which is two weeks away but she sounded lovely and very friendly

The lady from the early years team who comes round to make sure I have everything in place used to be an ofsted inspector and used to work with this inspector, so I may do a bit of name dropping

I'm really excited now and buzzing around getting everything ready. The only thing is though on the day of my inspection I will have my dd and my nephew here. I phoned ofsted and they said they are not interested in my nephew at all and would expect me to look after family so there are no issues over whether I get paid or not as it is a family agreement.

arrrgggh i got a call today at 5 to say they have had a cancelation and can they come tomorrow at 12! oh my nerves are starting now.

Yay everything went really well, the inspector was really nice

She even commented that if this was my first graded inspection I would have got outstanding in many areas !! She said she wants to be the one who comes back to do my inspection.
