Hi again everyone. I notice that a number of childminders who work with assistants say their assistant is self employed, can anyone advise me as to how they managed this as my local early years team are adament that assistants HAVE to be employed

I have tried the HMRC site but am finding it very confusing as all the terminology seems to relate to building contractors or manufacturing!

I would much prefer to have a self employed assistant but don't want to break the law
