Ofsted Inspection

Can anyone comment please,whether the new company that does the inspections now for Ofsted are taking longer with their inspections, or are they just the same as before?

There are two companies now doing inspections - nd the info I have is it is much the same as with Ofsted - some are before expected and some a bit longer - so in other words - who knows.

However the advice I have been given is the 'norm' is between 2.5 years and 3.5 years - but there are exceptions depending on availabilty of inspectors and when you name gets picked and is sent to the inspection team.


I sure this info has not been that helpful but tthat is the way it is.

I found it about the same... many inspectors say it will be shorter if you write a SEF

My last inspection with a sef took exactly the same time as the previous one without a sef

There were 3 years almost to the day between my inspections but locally this has varied up to 4 years.

Definately seems to vary area to area.
