Yep, I always thought we HAD to inform OFSTED too if anything like this happened during work hours. With regards to what OFSTED will do, I'm not sure but I wouldn't let that put you off telling them as I wouldn't like to think you had gotten into trouble for not informing them when its easy to just make a call and let them know what's gone off.
Have you spoken to the school? The lady who hit you could be banned from the school grounds if you make a formal complaint.
In fact I would make a request that she is, if anyone hit me in my dds playground I wouldn't rest until I knew the woman was not allowed near me, its too risky with our own kids never mind mindees.
Hope you're ok this morning and not still too shaken up, what a delightful woman she sounds, who even acts like that past the age of the children we care for!. I know ten year olds who would be appalled!

Glad the situation seems to be resolving itself :-) hope you are feeling less stressed about it all. Hopefully this woman will heed the warning. Good call on letting ofsted know, my opinion is always better to tell them things they dont need to know rather than not tell them something you should have, at least noe you know you dont need to worry x
