    Default observation help pls!!!

Hi everyone, think Im just being a bit thick but I have a brain block!! With my last mindee the ofsted inspector said the learning journal was good, but i didnt link enough to the next steps..... I have now got a 3 and a half yr old boy who just wants to play when he comes out of nursery, he doesnt want to do any messy play except at the sand and water table, i only have him for 4 hrs and he just likes to play with cars etc.
So, i have been stressing on how to do his lj... He asked the other day to feed the guinea pig with a carrot, and i took a picture of this, so i thought i could put this in his lj as an ob, but stuck at linking it to eyfs and next steps...... as i said i've had a hard day, bit tired
Just need a little inspiration..thanks guys

Probably would come under KUW. You could take it further by looking/talking about other living things...look for insects, other wild animals on walks or in the garden. Talk about how we look after the guinea pig which could then cover something in CLL aswell. Talk about how you look after/grow plants and maybe plant some sunflowers.
You can use the cars he likes playing with to maybe do number/counting/sorting activities whilst he plays

    Hope that helps a little
