Default bit off topic - child benefit and over 50k

Hi all - just wondering if anyine can help.

My DH has just changed jobs which has come with a pay rise. Having read about child benefit it seems it's still worth claiming with his new wage as the repayment will be less than what we get. Now, I know we need to do self assessment. Although child benefit goes to him - can I include on my self evaluation save us both doing it?

As far as I'm aware it needs to be the person who is being taxed on it in this case your husband. That's how I read it when I had to look it up but I may be wrong x

It will be your husband who will have to do the self assessment if he is earning the £50,000....we are currently going through the same thing.
