sharing planning with parents

hi guys

Just wondering how often do you share the child's planning with their parents. I wasnt sure whether to do it monthly, half-termly or termly. What do you guys do?

I do it Termly after summative reports. All goes in the Journal and the parents get it and so does playschool

my summative assessment is pretty much my planning for that child for the next term. each week is based on what child did week before and that is in LJ weekly.

i also have a weekly plan on the wall, but this lists general activities like 'toddlers', 'feed ducks' to 'puzzles' 'counting songs' etc some of which activities will be aimed at particular children, although everyone will participate. x

I share planning weekly - I put it on my parents information board and point it out to them.

It's just an overview of what we might be doing depending on the weather and the children's interests
