no , they are paying a day rate so I would consider this acceptable.. I would feel very unfair asking them for the extra tbh.

this is abit hard, if you are charging a daily rate does the parent think that she can use the extra hours which she is not using? is she clear about the way you have charged? its difficult because i would feel awark about charging her if i was already being paid for the full day surely you are then double charging her for those extra hours?

i personally wouldnt charge extra as you are already being paid via the parents paying for the day rate, and they have already paid for the day and should be allowed to use it, i know the contract is set hours but the space has to be avaiable if you are bing paid for it in case they did and they are paying for it..

i dont know if i have helped or just confused myself, aint been long out of bed this am, hope it goes ok xxx

I charge £30 per day and I am open from 8-6. If parents want to extend their contracted hours between these times I wouldn't charge extra.

I also have daily rates and this is a school hours rate for me and I would charge £25 per day. It leaves the space open before and after school and that would earn you more than £5 and would more than make up for £30.00

she just needs to be clear what hours the day rate covers but as long as she's within that I wouldn't charge the extra.
