on each picture/craft do you need to write where it links with what areas ... or do i just date/time it.

I usually just date it and mention what theme the craft related to etc. Occasionally I'll link it if it's relevant but tbh it's just something nice to go in the file.

The children usually take crafts home and I dont write anything on them. I keep a few peices for their folder and write on the area for this.
Also what I do have is a folder full of pictures of the children doing the activity and link it on there. So then Ofsted can see the activities I do even though the children have taken them home

Mindees at the moment tantrum if they don't get to take their pictures home and I don't blame them - they made it usually for their mum/dad. I record skills covered in their file, eg. used a glue spreader well (one handed tool),

my lo's parentslove to see what they've made so the pictures and crafts usually go home. I take pictures of them doing the craft then a picture of the finished piece, put them on a sheet and link it into the areas of learning. Then I have evidence without having to keep loads of crafts stored somewhere!!!
