Default Help needed how much do you put down for meals

Hi need to start doing accounts and
been searching past threads but thought i ask for an uptodate reply. I would like to know how much people put down on expenses for meals.

I have seen some childminders put down a flat rate for breakfast, lunch and dinner and snacks and drinks per child. Which i thought i would do as working out receipts and getting price per head all seems to difficult for my brain to cope with.
Does this sound reasonable or too much too little?
    Breakfast 50p
    lunch 1.50
    dinner 2.50
drinks and snack £1 per day

    thanks

The answer to this depends on what you provide. Work out a meal cost from a couple of receipts and get a base line. you will need to provide proof to the HMRC of where your figures come from anyway.

Also if you are doing a per price meal then have a look at it again once in a while as prices went up dramatically last year and fast!
