Children can really build their fine motor skills with threading game Shoe lacing: An easy threading game which will also help the older children learn to tie laces. On a thick piece of card draw around the child's foot Cut out and draw the front of a shoe on the card - or get the children to do it if they are old enough. Make holes where the laces would go using a hole punch or by piercing with a blunt pencil. Using cheap shoes laces allow the children to lace up the shoe and try tying the lace at the top. |
