CYPOP5 1.6 - Sources of support question!

I'm just on the support and information question and I have a list of sources such as:

NCMA
Network coordinator
Local Authority
Health Visitors
Teachers
Family/relatives
childminder groups,
childminding network,
training,
publications and magazines such as Who Minds

My question is, would you put Ofsted in there?? They are like the CM police, I am just not sure what to say about them! Any ideas please?

Hi, yes I would put Ofsted on there. The factsheets they produce are good sources of info and they keep you up to date with any childcare news etc. x

Thanks ladies. I must say this forum has been the biggest form of "support and information" out of the whole of that list!!

Don't forget the parents

They are often the biggest sources of infomation about their child and should always be asked for their input. They may have details of people who have support them / child prior to them coming to your setting, the may have been accessing services at their local children's centre. (and Children's centres can be a source of information and support to you as well)
