I'm struggling with Task 7 CYPOP5 so if anyone could help I'd be really grateful.
Compare how other resources are available for children to support their play.
What do they mean by other resources??
Thankyou in advance. X

whick task number are you doing?
Task 7 I just can't really get my head round how to write any of it
i did as the book showed a chart with three headings, resource, good points, bad points.
Then used the examples given, Lego, Dolls and added other toys and also enviroments of play, soft play, parks, playgroups, library ryhme time etc.
so eg
Parks, good because it means the kids get exercise and fresh air, bad because its not great for non walkers as no toys at their level and dirty floor
other resources could be...
Climbing frame (Encourages hand and eye coordination, turn taking)
Making a collage from scrap resources (Using unfamiliar resources )
Water/ sand play (Extends vocabulary by discussing objects )
Hope it helps
Thankyou. Also could you explain to me what this means in my simple mind, again Task 7.
Identify how and why it is important that children receive equal treatment and access, based on their individual needs and acknowledging their rights.
I just can't get my head around the wording.
X
i pasted my equality policy in and then a little bit about why i wrote the bits. I do think looking at it now though i should have also written about, personal space, recognising a childs emotional state etc. Just submitted so time will tell!
Could anyone help me with task 7
5.4 Identify how and why it is important that children receive equal treatment and access, based on their individual needs and acknowledging their rights.
5.5 Compare how other resources available for children support their play
4.2 Explain how they would adapt routines to meet the needs of children at different ages and stages of development.
I am stuck and can't get my head around these questions
Thank You
There is a reply for you on this very topic in the question you posted on this in the similar thread...it is in this same section
look to see whether the book I mentioned helps...I know I used it for my FDegree on Inclusion, Diversity and Equal opportunity and is a recent edition
Good luck
