    Default HOW - explain how you will adapt to meet the needs of children at different ages and

    I've completed my CYPOP5 course but have had task 6 returned to me with the following comment.

    HOW - explain how you will adapt to meet the needs of children at different ages and stages of development?

    Can anyone help me with this. I'm not childminding yet and I feel a bit lost.

    Fortunately, the rest of the course was signed off, phew.

    Thank you.

    You have planned for all the children to play with the playdough.

    The older children help make it by measuring ingredients, the little ones stir and the little ones can choose the colour.

    The older children independently use the cutters, rolling pin, child-safe knife etc... the pre-schooler needs some help with the rolling pin but can use the cutters... the younger child pushes buttons and sequins into a ball of playdough you have rolled for him.

    Hi Katrina

    Iv just put about their stages;
    babies routines, naps, feeding, changing etc
    1 year olds less naps, change of diet, learning to walk, more interaction, small activities.
    2 year olds potty training more challanging activities etc
    3 year old major change in routines due to starting nursery may need naps
    4 year old starting full time school
    older children activities to suit all ages. interaction with younger children, help and teach them patients and understanding.
    while helping younger children count and take turns.

    hope this helps.
    good luck
