wow, pictures! you're obviously a lot better than me on the old pc front
after much research and checking in dictionary, i've taken charter to mean "a statement of sorts" a bit like a policy and procedures.
If it's any consolation, this one flowed a lot easier for me!
    Good luck

    Hello,

Phew! It's nice to know it's not just me stressing over this task! I'm really finding this one difficult, i'm finding it hard to motivate myself of this task!

Mines... Nothing like a leaflet really.. Which im stressing over... It's... 5 sheets of A4, back and front... Is that too much? It's more like a BOOKlet... lol :P

I'm hoping the other task fly by...!!!!! Hoping!!!

Thanks in advance for any help

I'm now about to start Task 5, I was hoping it was going to be easy but if I've got to do pages of A4 I'm not so happy now. Hoped I'd get it done before the weekend. This course seems to go on forever!!

There just seems to be a lot of information for just a leaflet... Hence mines more like a booklet...
Just worried in case i've done too much! x

The way I looked at it was...

The leaflet is the first contact.
This information is going to be given to people I don't know yet, so the last thing they're going to want is be bogged down with information - I can do that at the meeting lol

So what do I want these strangers to know that will guide them to come see me?
Once I'd written all that down, I went through it and deleted all the waffle (That got rid of about 20 pages )

Then take out duplicate stuff and see what your left with. Mine was only an A4 on 2 sides, so I laid it out like a 2 fold leaflet (thirds), but I linked in the policies I had 'for further information'

On the flip side, I know someone else that did 6 x A4 pages and passed with that too.

I thought this was aimed at carers though? it's that parents or other childcare practioners? Surely if it's for them then it wouold need to be in more detail... I'm really confused.

i have questioned it all before too, and the short story is its the info not the layout that matters.
I can't possibly do any formatting on my word processing system and not forking out £70 for word!!
Task 7 i hated, doing 8 and 9 and they look ok. Good luck, worst hours of my life doing this, i'd rather have a dentist appointment every day!!

I'm confused with task 5 question 2.4 know where to obtain current guidance on health and safety risk assessment of the home-based work setting.

I've read through the notes and it blatantly answers the question for you... but then I'm thinking it can't be that easy... I'm really stuck!!!

Hi- I completed the course in August. My Task 5 A Leaflet for Parents/Carers on Health and Safety- wasn't printed out as a leaflet- our tutor said that as long as you have the exact title of each task at the top of the task, it doesn't matter how it is presented. Mine was 4 and a half sides of A4. For 2.4 of this task- where to obtain information- I put-

The EYFS Guidance- ’The Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.
    RoSPA- http://www.rospa.com/
    Direct Government- http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Employme...Work/index.htm
    Local Library
The Health and Safety Executive Website- http://www.hse.gov.uk/
    Sure Start Centres
    Fire Service

Task 6 ended up being 8 sides long- I am a nightmare and write too much, but I went with the idea that these tasks were as much to help me to write my policies rather than to pass the course!
