DHC4 In Maidstone starting on 9/10/10

Hiya,

i cant find the other threads, who is going on the course that starts on the 9th? Carol tidy and myself didnt realise that they were running different dates at similar times and thought we were going to be together so we did a major DOH! when we realised i was on the one commencing the 9th and she was on the 16th!

ill be the noisy one that asks the stupid questions.....

oh i be there - nervous as hell as hate going on courses when dont know anyone lol
i be one that goes red when talk out loud in front anyone
i dont even know where the place is yet lol - i know maidstone (sort of) sat nav will be out lol

im gonna be sooo sleepy do as i lacking iron and soemother stuff at mo (tablets not kicked in)


and i see your a bride to be too - im gettingmarried 9th july 2011 hehe x

well maybe us 3 will actually meet and talk and help each other
im dreadingit not been to 'school' for years lol and i get embarrsed quite easy and start shy but then thats it no stopping me (tho i do rabble on when nervous at times hehe)

Only I could tell you what they're like if I knew We had Susan (who dresses her dogs in Build a Bear clothes), Gillian Jones (time punctual, dislikes people abbreviating names), Gill English (comparatively very normal, diabetic), Hayley (mad!) and another one....... They're all characters

I've just finished Unit 5 at Tunbridge Wells, the rest of the group are off to Maidstone to start the next unit in October but I won't be with them as I have already done that unit. I've got to wait til March 2011 for my next/last unit

We had Gillian Jones at Tunbridge Wells and I found her a fantastic tutor, I'm realy sorry that I won't have her for my last unit.

They're both very good, although Susan is more likely to let you go early..... I had her for my first DHC unit, and Gillian for the ICP. It's realy good to get together with other minders who want to further their understanding. And I found the last course, the one about observations, really really useful

im bit worried as this is my first dch course ... and i read somewhere it all changes 2011 ... i know any qulifications remain but what happens to the units you not done? .... confussed me a bit

and is there any books we will need? x

Don't worry - it's all common sense! And you're welcome to ask me if you have any questions......

I think - though things may have changed since I was told this - that there are a few years before they stop offering the DHC altogether, chance for people to catch up.....

We had a coursebook the tutor lent (but ultimately gave) us. http://www.books-by-isbn.com/0-435/0...5-40211-0.html They also had other books we could borrow and I found that was enough
