Default 2 DHC UNITS AT SAME TIME??????

Can I have your honest opinions please?

I have done the ICP and Unit 4 of the DHC. My local NCMA have decided to run both the Unit 2 and 3 this term and I the opportunity to do both. I have been told Unit 2 is really hard as it is to do with legislation and the law etc.

I only have 2 part timers at the moment... really part timers, just 1 day after school each! Thought this may be a good time to try and get both units out of the way before (hopefully) I get some more children and am just too shattered to study.

I found Unit 4 quite hard at the beginning but I put this down to not having done an essay for what 17 years!!!!!!! It did get a lot easier and I quite enjoyed it.

What do you guys think? Anyone else tried doing 2?

    Hi Julia,

This is strange I am also called Julia and I did units 2 and 3 together. I did unit 5 first and am now doing unit 4. So nealy over!!

When I did unit 2 and 3 together, I did unit 2 on saturdays over 5 weeks and unit 3 evenings over 12 weeks. Unit 2 was right in the middle of unit 3. I would say go for it. So long as you have a bit of extra time and perhaps start writing your assignments at the start of the course and write it was you go along you'll be ok. There is some legislation in unit 2 but you don't have to go into too much depth. Just had an idea what each act is all about.

Plus it means you will finish earlier rather than waiting for one of the units to run again!!!

Round here they run unit 2 and 3 together as 1 course, over evenings and saturdays for a term.
***** proofed the house but they're still getting in!

Thanks everyone for your advice, these courses run one night a week and the occasional Saturday I have checked and the Saturday's don't conflict so I think I will give it a go. I am sure it will not not be easy, but I will only have Unit 5 left to do after the summer and could have my Diploma by the end of the year. I got good GCSE's at school but didn't stay on at college to finish my Diploma (much to my Dad's disappointment) and something I have always regretted. Fingers crossed I can redeem myself!!

    Thanks again

    Julia
