I was funded through our local early years who used a local training company not a college and we did it from home with the assesser coming out to me. We also met up at the town hall once a mnth for general meeting and to collect the next unit. Great way of training as we all could network and swop ideas.
I also met up with 4 other childminders to work together once a wk also giving each other support.

    So try contacting early years.

Me too. I was funded by my LA, went to college 2 evenings a month and the tutor came to me at various locations(home,drop-in's, park, etc..) to carry out observations on me. I loved doing the NVQ3 but it was hard finding time to do all the written work. Speak to your local childminding officer or Family information service for advice on funding.
