Default CYPOP5 through Trio Section 5: Provide play and other activities that

    Hi,

I am currently complete the online CYPOP5 course through Trio...
However, I have hit a brick wall and ready to give up!!

I feel I have done pretty well to get to where I am without help, but now need some..

would anyone be able to help with the following questions

Section 5: Provide play and other activities that support an inclusive approach

1)Explain the importance of play to children's learning and development and the need for an inclusive approach.

2)Do you know where to access information and support if you care for a child living with impairments?

3)How effectively will you help children learn and develop

4)Explain what can be learned about children by observing them play

I really hope someone can help?

    Thank you x

Has this been a taught unit as well? It's hard to offer any advice without the background angle of the taught lesson. My advice may be completely wrong as I didn't do this qualification.

The inclusion is about children with physical disabilities and developmental delay is it? I guess then you have to explain how you can include all children in an activity by adapting it to enable the child to join in.

Accessing support would be from initially information from parents, maybe HV, SENco, and any other agencies currently involved with this child, (speech and language, physios etc) look up on website for support about a particular condition.

    Hi!
for part 4) I basically watched my own children during the day and noted everything.
Some children may have a favourite toy, such as building blocks, or dolls.
Some children may prefer to play outside in big groups, others may want to play inside on their own.
Some children may find it easy to hold a pen and write, some children may find it hard. You will be able to learn about their social skills, some children will happily share a toy or game, whereas others may get frustrated if they have to share.
Some children will seem different if they are tired or hungry.
Some children may hit others if they can’t express their feelings. The more you learn about each child, the more you will be able to spot their different signs and know each different personality.
