Default What training do I have to do and how much is to be paid for?

    Hello
I'm new to the forum but have been childminding for seven years. Recently a very enthusiastic colleague forwarded me a whole lot in paperwork that I ignorantly didn't know I needed, telling me that I should be doing at least three courses a year, including re-doing my food hygiene. I had no idea I had to renew that every three years. So....here I am on the forum to keep up to date as sadly it seems being a caring loving childminder that concentrates of the children just isn't enough anymore.
Can someone pls point me in the right direction as to what I need to have??

    Many thanks

F/Aid must be renewed every 3 years ...your LA may offer it for free or at a charge
You can also look for it from independent providers...the cost varies...the EYFS is clear that you can shop around now

Safeguarding you must keep updated ....Food and hygiene is not compulsory
Any other training is totally up to you...some may be from your LA at a charge or ...again...from accredited trainers who offer a variety

You can also access online training via some associations such as PLA...NDNA also do training for those who are not members and they are excellent value if 2 people attend

    Hope this helps
