    Default Ratios (sorry)

I know it's asked all the time so I apologise in advance xx
But can anyone please tell me what my ratios are?

I work with my sister and my niece (my nephew is also registered incase cover is needed)
How many children can I have per day?

We currently care for 6 under 5's but I have recently been asked to increase 2 of the childrens days a couple of these days would over lap bringing us up to 8 which we could manage as a couple of the children 3 and a half and very easy

but not sure if we are allowed to someone told me that we could have 9, 3 per adult but again not sure if this is correct???

    Thanks and apologies again xx

As far as I know you could have 9 under 5s with you & two assistants, but you would have to check floor space requirements and see whether or not you'd need to apply for planning permission.

Yes same advice as Mouse. If you go over 6 children some LA's require planning permission

I understood that Truss had asked the LAs to relax planning permission for childcare so that settings could expand without barriers in the way?

it is somewhere in her new 'regulation of childcare'...I would check it

Agree with Simona as long as you risk assess it and have parents written permissions and all the extra ones are 'legal' exceptions
