our kitchen is boring cream cupboard fronts, tiled terracotta floor and stainless steel appliances. Horrible dark brown surfaces

It is rented, well sort of as it belongs to my DH farm with his brothers so we can do any decorating etc but we have kept walls white and added red bits and pieces - would LOVE a red kitchen aid mixer

Our kitchen has dark blue cupboards, dark blue tiles on the wall and light blue on the floor and the rest is the brightest yellow we could put up with. Wakes me up in the morning

My kitchen was installed Christmas eve 2011 and are butter coloured cabinets with dark grey speckled granite, chrome and black oven and hob and chrome fridge. The wall colouring is actually forum blue , there is not much wall spare in the kitchen but that's the colour of the dining room he kitchen is joined up to.

Green or yellow for me too I think. I don't like yellow usually, but I think it is lovely in a kitchen.

when we moved the kitchen was a lovely bright sunshiny yellow...dh wanted to repaint, but we're keeping it its so lovely and warm.

our units are a soft natural mid brown wood colour, with grey/black granite tops ( wouldn't be my choice! ) with a dark blue aga & blue & terracottac coloured tiles on the wall.oh, and terracotta tiles on the floor. sounds awful, but actually it all works well!

I thought I would like a bright bright kitchen and went for bright aqua. Big mistake it's like being in a fish tank. I even painter a submarine periscope peeping up from the work surface with the submarine below the work surface. All the my mindies love the room and think that it's great which just make me think it's worse than it is. But it does clean up nicely.

I've got a bright(not too bright) green and I love it but have only done one wall, the rest are white (washable) I have beech coloured units, white walls and the same colour curtains to match the green on the wall and blinds that are the same colour as the kitchenunits(beech)The fact that it's only one wall seems to work as mine is a kitchen diner.

I had a new ( the only one I have had that was mine!) kitchen in August 2010. All the cabinets are gloss white and smooth, no ledges to collect dirt

The counter tops are dark blue mottled Formica, very cheap and so easy to clean. Similar to this:

    http://www.kitchen-worktops-direct.c...olour/540.html

Our floor is Karndean Van Gogh Burnt Ginger:

    http://www.flooringsupplies.co.uk/vi...vinyl_flooring

All the walls are white and as it is a kitchen diner the floor goes through both and the walls are white in both apart from one in the dining room which is dark red. We have matched this in the kitchen by using a dark red blind at the kitchen window. All the appliances, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and double oven are stainless steel. The hob is a black induction hob and we have a double stainless steel sink with a draining board.

My kitchen at the moment is a burnt orange colour which i have always liked.

On 2 home make over shows on tv recently the kitchens have been the same colour and have been called "dated".

I'm just about to move my kitchen into my new extention and it will be cream only because it has roof lights and its such a lovely bright room. I will have some brightly coloured tiles to cheer it up.

the current kitchen will become a dining/family room and i think i'll paint it yellow as its quite a dark room.
