...one off dd's school friends was diagnosed with a brain tumour yesterday

She has been in hospital for just over a week. First diagnosed with gastroentritus(SP?) and then started going dizzy, wobbly and blurred vision. She has been in our hosp for a week, had CT scan, MRI scan etc all clear. They then decided to send her an hour away and then re-oredered all the scans and found it almost straight away.
Its in her brain and has spread there and into her spinal cord.

They are operating tomorrow and putting a chemo line in.

She is 5 years old.

I was supposed to be cracking the whip with my 2 today to get their rooms sorted, but it seemed a bit irrelevant, so have spent some quality time with them.

I cannot imagine how Mum, dad and siblings aged 6,4 and 6 months must be.

lifes just not fair
my next door neighbours son who is only 1 as got a rare illness wilm's tumour.
it a cancer tumour in his kidney. he as had chemo but the tumour as only shrunk alittle. he has an op on thursday.
my thoughts go out to all the little ones who are fighting cancer

We all moan and groan about everyday things and get angry with others, however hearing a story like this makes you realise how lucky you are.

I really hope that everything goes ok today with the operation and the family are in our thoughts.
