Agree totally BUT manual is more fun to chuck around corners (and annoy little willy corsa drivers in!)

Automatic, I only have an auto license! I wouldn't want a manual though, auto is just sooooo easy.

I currently have an auto and love it. It does take a little getting used to especially the gears changing themselves as sometimes they're a little slow to kick in but my Zafira is also manual so i kick it into manual when this happens

i had an auto discovery for about 7 yrs loved it as a car but always craved a manual so i could feel in control , now ive had a manual landrover defender for 2 yrs and i could never ever go back to an auto they are just so much better to drive , i have 4 classic mini's aswel all manual (yes you can get auto mini's ) lol and love being able to throw them into the corners and generally thrape them about

in general my opinion is that auto's are just too slow and not much fun

Have been driving for years and have had both but all my cars for the past 6 years have been automatic and I love them, it's so easy and great for driving in the snow. My little old auto Golf never let me down in the snow and went where all the big posh cars were getting stuck. But maybe that was just my excellent driving

Auto is much easier to drive, good for hill starts, traffic, ice and snow. (And according to OH it's good for having a hand free to eat!)
But manual is much more fun! Although to be fair I can't say I have any fun driving a huge 7 seater....I did enjoy driving my smaller (faster) cars though, before I was a Mum.

Me too!!! I tried and failed to pass my driving test in a manual so did the auto and passed straightaway!!! I have no hand and feet co-ordination. It still shocks me now that they actually let me loose on the roads!!
