    Yep - in our conservatory!!

Hubby and one of my daughters were desperate to put the tree up, so we did it last weekend. I said we could only put it up if it was somewhere hidden from the road

Having said that, someone a few doors away has a tree in their porch.

I spotted a house down the street putting up a giant inflatable bart simpson dressed as father xmas today.

I usually put mine up the first week in December but might leave it till the middle this year as my mindee is into everything.

We usualy have a nice real tree, but the earliest I can put it up is on the 18th December when I don't have anymore mindees until 04th January 2011 .
In the next village, there is a house with an enormous fir tree in the front garden, must be 30 feet high and every few years he adds another set of lights to it (they stay in the tree all year round).

I think soon, he won't be able to reach the top set to plug them in.
But it does look great when it's all lit up

I start putting the outdoor lights up around 10th December.

A house on the way to my sons gf has put lights up round their eaves and gable end on the front of their house - have to say it does look nice!!

Would love some under the eaves - DH might put them up for me, but they would have to stay up as I would never get him to take them down - so I don't bother!!

Mine usually goes up beginning December, but as I only have the kids for 5 days beginning Dec and am jetting off to sunny South Africa till the New Year... there will be no tree at ours this year (first time ever).

We have not got ours up yet.

We get a real one - and I can imagine it would be all shrivelled up and dried out if I put it up so far in advance.

I personally cannot understand the whole hysteria of dragging Christmas out for so long. Christmas is one day!

I understand businesses decorating early to promote more trade, but why do we need to?!

I will put mine up, proably about 10 days before - only due to family pressure!

    Roll on Spring!

Not yet.... but DH has already started 'playing' with the lights and trying to plan where they need to go in the conservatory (didnt have one last year and went away so nothing at all... have a bad feeling he will be making up for it this year )
