Shopping! No snow yet here , and it looks like it might miss us this time. Thank heavens as we were one of the worst hit last time.
About a million things to fit into a few hours - just waiting for dh to arise! Then looking for a scooter for ds1 , was hoping to get him a car but the insurance means we are priced out.

Keep looking at my pile of studying... and my pile of ironing... dont fancy either at the mo which is why Im on here as no-one else has made it out of bed yet!!!

We dont have snow but still have loads from the last lot so dont really want any more but we do have thick frost.

Im off to Tesco after my coffee to get the shopping done so that next week its just the perishables to get since we are getting no deliveries up here from Asda or Tesco.

Cant beleive that next week at this time it will be all over, well for the kids anyway

Woke up to snow with dread as it's my DD's gymnastic competition. My youngest age 4 doesn't want to do it but we still have to go as the other 2 are doing it. I've managed to get the car off the drive and get my eldest (9) to eat something! She isn't good with breakfast but we will be there until well after lunch.

Morning. We have a fair bit of snow falling too. Would normally be but am as we are supposed to be heading to London tomorrow for simply reds final gig and Im starting to worry we won't make it. It's our christmas pressie to mum so will be gutted if we can't go.

Today we are just cosying up indoors I think, once DH has taken the dog to Kennels. Hope they make it there ok

dh decided to come home from work now as snow getting more, so he can put up tree tonight now.
I'm putting all evidence of minding away, chatting here and watching omnibus soaps.

We have a little bit of snow here. Had calls from my family who live near Heathrow and supposed to be coming down tomorrow for DS's birthday, they have had a lot more than us, which is opposite to what happened a couple of weeks ago. Sun is now shining and its melting.

Off to the library when hubby gets home and then tidy the house as hopefully some family will make it tomorrow

Lots of snow here now and still falling. Youngest DD had to walk to work. Grandson number 3 stayed overnight but gone home now - so time to wrap presents - start to sort out toy storage room - why does it end up in such a mess - I am the only one who goes in there ? Anyway if don't sort today - will have nowhere to put stuff from downstairs when finally finish for Christmas at 6pm Christmas Eve.

Got overnight babysitting job tonight and then bringing child back here Sun am for a few hours childminding.

So best get off here and make most of few hours that are child free.

Well, we are snowbound, watford fc game cancelled, kids own footie and training cancelled, their footie party cancelled, my nails and trip to town off, long dog walk cancelled, and quiet afternoon with no hubby and son cancelled, kids like tightly wound coils!

Had about 2 inches of snow here and since 9am it's been sunny. So some of it is melting. Feeling a bit better after yesterdays sickness bug and I've managed to keep cups of tea and biscuits down.

Later on I'm putting up the tree and getting DD1 to help me decorate it. DD2 and hubby have gone out sledging.

We had a bit when I got up so decided to go and pick up my sons birthday cake for his 18th on monday -nearest M & S about 14 miles away. Snow got heavier and heavier as June and I got there and by the time we left to come home it was snowing really heavy and settling. Don't drive in the snow if I can avoid it, but had to get back home. 20-25 miles an hour most of the way on a single track (that was on the by-pass too). Never been so pleased to pull onto my drive supposed to be popping into local town this afternoon to collect his balloons but I have had to phone and cancel them

So I guess my afternoon will be spent ironing instead of shopping

Hope snow doesnt hang around, supposed to be going out for a meal Monday evening for his birthday, and I have still got food shopping to do for Christmas

It's been snowing here for a while now and doesn't show any signs of stopping anytime soon. My lovely DH has gone out to buy our tree today, then when our DS is having a sleep this afternoon one of us will have to go out and do some food shopping. Other than that it's just a day at home today, first day of the holiday for DH and me, always a lazy day. Next week will be busy though as my DS has his 2nd birthday on Wednesday and we've still got things to organise for Christmas.
