I am so proud of him.

He has wanted to pair of lace-up converse boots for ages and I said he can only have them if he can tie them

Well done James What colour converse?

My DS wanted lace up shoes when he started in reception I said he could if he could tie his own laces - so he taught himself! then with his extra wide feet he could only get velcro ones At nearly 14 he still has wide feet and can't wear converse boots as the ankles are too narrow to fit comfortably - has had some converse shoes but had to go up a size His feet are size 11 now

they are a really gorgeous blue colour.

they aren't light but they aren't dark blue - sort of a Royal Blue but slightly lighter.

bless he keep practising just to make sure he still can

that's brillian. I taught my ds and mindee when they were 6, gave them a certificate, but they both continue to struggle now (both 11). Know how but a. a bit lazy and b. struggle to tie them tight enough. dd learned when she was 5 and can do them really well.

yesterday at ds 11th birthdya party at least 4 10 year olds asked me t tie their laces for them
