anyone got a blackberry?

im thinking of ugrading my phone as mine is pretty old! and slightly embarrassing to get out lol.

Theres a good offer on my network for a blackberry 8250 or a blackberry 9300.

what are they like,

will it fit in a jeans back pocket?
are they easy to use for thickies?
do you need fingers the size of a 2 year olds to type on them?
what is 3g?
will it survive being dropped? lol
can you turn predictive text off as i don't like it?

I've got the blackberry curve and love it, I love being able to get my e-mails and facebook updates when I'm out and about (or even at home) It does take a bit of getting used to, but is actually easier when you know how. It's a qwerty keyboard, so rather than predictive it uses a spellcheck, I don't like predictive either. I don't keep mine in my pocket, but it would fit. I also try not to drop it, so can't answer that question either
Fingers get used to it easily. The only down side is the camera, it's not great, but the positives outweigh that for me.

I up graded to a blackberry and it coming on friday but my daughter has one and loves it. My daughter said It don't have predictive text. She got a good deal from vodafone 600 mins, unlimted texts, 500 mb internet all for £25, thats as a new customer I got the same for £25 but only got 500 mins as i'm and old customer don't sound fair I does it.

All of the above for my one but I have dropped mine a few times and it is fine. I keep mine in my pocket all the time (not back pocket though)

My husband and i have the blackberry 8520 and we both like it, we have the little jacket things for it, the only downside for me is it doesnt have a thing to clip a strap to, and i like to have my phone strapped to my belt loop which i cant do with the blackberry. I love the blackberry messenger which saves on some texts as some of my friends have blackberrys.

Hi I have a blackberry pearl and I love it, after 2 days it got water damaged on a trip out and I had to wait for nearly 2 weeks for a replacement I can't believe how much I missed it even after having it for 2 days. The only thing I find is remembering to lock the keypad otherwise it randomly rings people which I never had this problem before.
