looking for some drawing sheets

to print out - i would like to find some sheets that have dotted letters for my son to follow - i am sure you all know what i mean.
i found some that are too grown up - for teaching joined up writing - this is for just forming basic letters.
i saw some on sparklebox but was reluctant to download them incase there was a virus iykwim.
anyone point me in the right direction please?

I have a font that does it for me!

It is called abc print dotted and I downloaded it free.

oh i like yours better Sarah! I just put them both on the same document and the ABC one is clearer - the dashes are slightly bolder so I presume will be easier to follow!?

Find the true type font - it has TT on it.

Download it to your downloads folder.

Unzip it if it's zipped - you can get a free copy of winzip from www.download.com if you don't have it.

Then you pick up and copy the font from the downloads folder into your fonts folder.

fonts folder will be on your main drive (usually C) in your Windows folder.

You might have to restart (depends on your version of windows) then it will be in Word.

i found the fonts folder quite easily in the control panel - saves traipsing through lists on your c drive.

I asked at the nursery my mindee is attending and they were more than happy to photocopy me a lower case and upper case sheet which i then laminated. The children trace over the letters with their fingers or they use the dry wipe pens.

maybe we can try braile, sign languge diagrams and on voice recorders etc...............bet they still wouldn't take it in!
