    Default just my luck

I have just opened a present (tradition we always open 1 each on xmas eve) i just opened mine from my close friend and cm,

Got to say i never go on amount spent but i did get her body shop smellies a full set £16 and brushes( they were free but should have been £39),

I am really disappointed i got a box of liquer choclates (cant stand choclates with alcohol in them) and a small bottle of jacobs creek red wine (dont like red wine) and wine glass, she knows that i only drink white or rose and same about the chocs. We have neeb friends for 11 years,

come next week when we speak what do i say 'here have your gifts back as not much thought went in to them' I thought hard what to get her i new she needed new makeup brushes as she said she would get some in new year sales, and the stuff from body shop is her favourite.

Is it worth loosing a friend over, or do you have an open friendship where you can say such things? I'd just hint heavily that so and so ate the choccies and drank the wine as they are not your favourites...then next year talk endlessly about a small gift you saw.

They do say "it's the thought" but some people just don't...hope your other pressies are more satisfactory, enjoy.
    Come back David....

oh dear - nothing worse when they know what you dont like but still get it ... but it not something to fall out over hun, just ask if any chance to get the wine chnaged to white and well give the chocs to someone else or see if they can also be chnaged- you never know hun x

there could be lots of reasonsasto why she didnt think or didnt spend so much on you, i bought one of my bf's a present but she didnt even give me a card !!!! not worth arguing over though imho its about giving not receving xxx
