    Default I am spitting feathers!

What a start to christmas eve!
One of my collies went under my car last night after a mouse (my NEW car I might add - my lovely NEW car!). Thought nothing of it as he's often doing this. In the cold light of day however...

I wake to find that he has ripped EVERY wire and electrical component out from underneath my beautiful new Discovery on his 'seek a mouse' adventure! Just waiting for Land Rover Assist to come and get it. I cant have it back until the middle of January so I'm going to have to hire a 7 seater for work.

It is going to cost thousands to replace the whole system! Arghhh!!!!!

I think collie furr seatcovers are in order for your car when you get it back in January!
Why is "phonics" not spelled the way it sounds?

Sorry I know we shouldn't laugh but this thread made me smile, what naughty puppies out there.

Hope you get it sorted, any chance of getting it done on insurance?

I feel sick and have tears in my eyes for you. its Ok you can pop off now and enjoy Christmas and forget all about it - as if - i reversed my C8 into a high street name sign last Fri - Luckily the tailgate is made from reinforced plastic or fiberglass so the dint popped back out when I pulled away but I am left with some scratches (bad ones) and cracked paint so it will still cost me - am going to get DH on the job first though. In my defence it wasn't all my fault - for 1 it was dark and secondly a car came along too fast and blocked off the side road I was reversing into which meant that I was blocking the road and in order to get out of the way I had to mount the kerb. I just didn't see the sign npr did the sensors pick it up - I got the shock of my life.

I'd write to Land Rover and get them to pay for the repair, can't be that well built if a dog can break them all running under it.

No, he didn't just run under it! He chased the mouse up into the wheel arch them ripped all the wires out with his teeth that are hidden up in the wheel arch/body to get the mouse!

Land rover have been out to asses it and have said that this is the second time they've been to a farm, where a farm collie has done exactly the same thing! Gah!
