    Default QUICK advice cooking gammon

    i'm doing Nigellas boil it in coke recipe - the joint is in th coke but about 1cm is left uncovered - should i add water so its all covered completely or is it ok as it is????

    If it is going to be boiling then it will probably come over the top of it anyway, perhaps you could turn it during cooking?

    I assume you mean coke the drink

    i've never done it this way before -i'm using coca-cola just in case it leaves a horrible sacrine taste like cheap coke

    its okay to use cheaper versions of coke ..... just dont use any of the diet varieties.

    also i wouldn't put water to top up .... just give gammon a turn around every hour or so.

    lovely southern taste

    MMMMMMMMM Cider now that is a different kettle of fish - sounds delish. I love pork in Cider never thought of Gammon in Cider.

    cider and honey and its the tastest ham ever done in slow cooker
