Default COVID 'RULES' on visitors staying.

    Good evening.

I've done some googling and I just can't find the answer! But i'm not very good at ferreting through government speak!

Back when Covid started, I am sure there was some rule about childminders not being able to have anyone else in their houses ( apart from normal residents/family ) whilst they were working. Then, when we were allowed to mix etc, I have some feeling that we couldn't have people staying over( ie friends and family coming to stay for a few days ).

I've been having childminder friends to visit for an hour or two whilst I'm working, and I've had family to stay at weekends/over the holidays when I am not working, but I can't find out what the guidance is now about when you are working!

My brother wants to come and stay, as we haven't seen each other for over a year and whilst he is DBS'd for his own job, naturally he would not be left alone with the minded children, but he would be around/sitting in the kitchen whilst I was working, or might come out with us! As due to some weirdness with his job, he can only take weekdays off, which is totally rubbish really, as I'm working, DH is at work and DD at college!

    Does anyone know the 'rules'?

    Thanks xx

Sorry I am not aware of any rules about having people over but would be interested to know if there was as DS2 is coming home from uni at Easter and his girlfriend want to come and stay for a couple of days which would include when I am working.

There are no rules about this, it's no problem.

No rules about people staying with you as far as I know.

    Great, thank you!

Thinking about it, because, if we have anyone to visit they have to stay, and we couldn't have daytime visitors, we therefore couldn't have anyone to stay ! And it's stuck in my head!
