    Default Good afternoon Tuesday

    How's everyone doing?

I hope you've all been enjoying the Christmas break. Today is the first day I've sat down doing nothing and, I have to say, it's been lovely! We did have a great Christmas though. We had some of the family round on Christmas Eve, then all of us together on Christmas Day and a few round again on Boxing Day. Then yesterday we went to one of our son's. We were only meant to be calling in quickly to drop something off, but ended up staying for most of the day.

Is anyone back at work this week or are we all off until the New Year? I was going to open on 5th Jan, but no parents have booked their children in, so I will actually start back on 10th Jan. That seems a very long way away! I'm not sure whether I'll plan to do anything while I'm off (as in sorting, moving stuff round etc) or whether I'll just spend the days off reading and finishing off the Christmas food

Sounds like you have had some lovely days Mouse.

I have not done much today, the weather is pretty awful here. I have been out with the dog and got a bit wet.
I start back on the 4th, at some point this week I need to get the playroom ready.

I have my niece for the next 3 days, at some point we will have a trip in to town as I have a book voucher which I want to use to get the rest of the books in a series I have been reading. It's lovely having time to recharge the batteries.

We had a quiet but lovely Xmas. Been out for a walk most days. My partners son has tested positive for covid yesterday so keeping our distance. My two daughters have been with their dad and step mum since 23rd till yesterday so I’m expecting them all to arrive on the doorstep at some point. Back to work on 4th assuming the schools reopen

Sounds like you've all had a lovely time.

We've had a very quiet time, doing not much! And it's been lovely. DD, my mum and I have been shopping and to see Bedknobs and Broomsticks this afternoon. It was totally magical.

I'm back at work on the 4th, and schools are back on the 5th ... I'm planning on spending the 2nd or 3rd getting everything back and ready for work ... although, it might actually be the 4th ... as, unless it's throwing it down with rain, we'll be out in the woods!

I think it was you mentioning it Pixie that made me look to see if it was on near me! Absolutely incredible! We decided the bed must be on a forklift! ... but how did she fly on the broomstick?!

Well I’ve done my children’s 4 monthly assessments, done my holiday dates for next year and today I’m doing my winter planning. So been busy when not sitting ( something I usually don’t do much of) and watching Something scandal? And eating quality street! Although didn’t take much notice of the dramas title!

Good morning! And well done !

I've complied a list of what I need to do ... that might be it I'm resisting turning my laptop on, as once it's on, I know I'll be there for a few hours!
