Default It's been a wet Wednesday

What another miserable day. We had a bit of dry weather this morning, but apart from that it's drizzled all day.

We had a lovely day though with a childminding friend coming to visit. The children all played happily together, although they were very loud and over excited!

This evening DH was out so I went out for tea with my son & grandson. It was nice not to have to cook and wash up! The place we went to was very busy with Christmas parties. Do you get together with other childminders to go out? We've got a lovely group of childminders here and we're off out in a couple of weeks for our Christmas meal. I haven't seen some of them for ages, so it'll be lovely to have a catch up. We're definitely going to have to sort out a meet up next year for anyone who wants to meet in person. Let's see what happens in the new year with the whole covid situation and we'll get something planned

It was wet and miserable here too.

We went to play at a fellow childminders and had lots of fun.
Our local childminders used to meet up for a party with the children, but as we became fewer and more spread out, we don't any more. We used to have organised termly area meetings for all early years settings, and 2 years ago, we said that we ought to have a social evening .... and then... well, we all know what happened, and I don't think the meetings will ever happen again.

We used to have 9 childminders here now only 2 of us left. We meet up once week outside as we still don’t go in each other’s house.we closed our childminding group where childminders used to come from surrounding villages when the pandemic hit. Sadly we have closed it for good now.And we’re still outside 😔

We used to have a childminding group a few years back now but that got stopped due to funding, before Covid I use to regularly visit another childminder but I think we have only got together once in the last year though we message regularly. I do miss meeting up with others and it is good for the children to socialise with others.

Our LA has term meetings via Zoom but it's not the same
