    Default How's your weekend going?

What have you been up to this weekend?

DH & I went away for a couple of days and called in at York Christmas market on the way back. It was lovely - busy, but not as cold as I'd been expecting it to be. I had planned to get a few bits for Christmas presents while we were there, but ended up just buying stuff for myself instead

Today I've been catching up on the housework and sorting out some craft activities for next week. I can't believe I've only got just over 2 weeks to get everything done with the children.

Who's got their Christmas tree up? I think we'll do ours next weekend. I've got a few decorations up already and some lights around the playroom. One set switches on itself at random times. They're obviously on some sort of timer which took me by surprise the first time they turned on

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Sounds like you had a lovely time Mouse.

We went on a quick visit to DS2 as he needed something for uni that he had left at home, we went up Friday night took the dog with us as we found a dog friendly hotel then had planned to spend most Of Saturday with DS but the weather was awful, it was so rainy which is no fun with a dog so we headed home earlier than planned.
Today I have put some decorations up in the playroom alongside our little Christmas tree we have up in there, we popped out to the shops for some bits and now waiting for our roast to finish cooking. As always today seems to be flying by, I still have a bit of washing and ironing to sort out.

    Hope everyone is keeping well!

Oooo, hope you had fun in York Mouse.

DD is were going to pop in after a dance class, but ran out of time! ... can't remember what we actually did though!

Went for a walk today with friends and their dogs! It was lovely and sunny, then cold, then icy rain, then bright and sunny etc! Good to catch up though.

Just watching Dr Who... some of the special effects are great, and others are true Dr Who I'm slightly confused! A character just shouted 'what is happening?' ... and I quite agree!

Had booster on Friday and on Saturday was feeling quite lightheaded. So had a day at home a a sleep in the afternoon which seemed to clear it. Went to see xmas lights at bedgebury with DD1 and two grandsons. My partner came too and said it was well worth missing the Grand Prix for. There was a fire pit for toasting marshmallows, some lovely mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies as well as beautiful light displays. Really made me feel Christmassy. Back to work today in the pouring rain and wind

Ah I have Christmas lights that are on for about 6 hours then turn themselves off brilliant.

Been wet and wild here the weather I mean and chilly.

Yes, two and a half more weeks then the Christmas holidays so looking forward to it. Put my Christmas tree up at the weekend which we brought Friday, does anyone else hate putting lights on Christmas trees? Just the actual getting them on the tree is a pain. Next year I said artificial tree with light already on them! Wonder if I’ll buy one 🤔

Dragonfly... we have a pretend tree ... it's goodness knows how many years old ... we've had it 17 years and my mother in law had it for years before us. It still looks fine, but DH HATES putting the lights on it. The last few years we've passed the job to DS, but he's at Uni and won't be home till almost Christmas....DH has bought a new tree with lights!
He did want a fibre optic one, but I really don't like them, so he compromised and we have one with just white lights .... I'm wondering how long before someone adds the coloured flashing lights . It's due to arrive this weekend!

If I get a pretend tree next year it will have to look like a real tree.... with lights 😊 a fibre optic tree doesn’t look real I’m afraid so I’m with you no!

We have a real tree every year but this year I have decided not to get a tree for our lounge as the plan is to go away and stay with family so we just have our small artificial tree up in the playroom. I am quite sad that we don't have a family tree up as I have decorations from when my children were first born, so 25 years old now.
