Default Have you got your heating on?

We were challenging ourselves to get to October without putting on our heating. We failed! We ended up putting it on for the last couple of days in September. Oh it was lovely!

I'm going to have to think about the radiator in my hall though and whether it needs covering.

Do you have your heating on already?

Not yet ! It is getting a little cold in the evenings but I am hanging on a bit longer. I know for a fact as soon as DH gets back from work next weekend he will say get the heating on and my reply will be " Put a jumper on"

My family think I'm crazy for saying we can only have the heating on from the beginning of November till the end of March I don't even know why I set those dates, but I've stuck to them for years.

They're already complaining it's cold so I tell them to put more clothes on! Now the heating bills are going up I'm going to be saying it even more.

Oh now I feel like a right wuss!

To be honest, I would have coped until October (but not November!), but DH has done his back in and has just been lying down, barely able to move, and so he was freezing. It was him, for the first time ever who suggested putting it on.

Pixie isn't that what the Queen allegedly always says at Buckingham Palace - "Put on another jumper!"

We popped the heating on for a bit on Saturday. My in laws were visiting and we were sat around for most of the day! Otherwise I've been adding extra clothes!

Gosh, no heating on yet it’s not cold!

I also say put a jumper on. If you’re sitting watching TV put a blanket on you I keep nice blankets on the back of sofas just for this. Definitely not cold yet.
