    Default Miserable Monday!

When I was lying in bed this morning, listening to the rain, it sounded quite peaceful. By the time I got up it was torrential and not so calming at all! It’s days like today when I’m glad I don’t have to do school runs.

What have you got planned for the day? I’ve got a quiet day with just 2 children here. One arrives at 9am and one at 10am, so it’s a slow start to the day. I’ve already got the playdough out so that’ll be the first play of the day. After that we’ll just see where the day takes us.

Instead of going to bed early last night (which was the plan), I sat up and watched Everyone’s Talking About Jamie. Has anyone seen it? It was a really easy watch and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I’d recommend it if you like musicals.

Enjoy your days everyone. Stay dry, if you can!

I haven't seen it Mouse, I was wondering about it though, so I might give it a try when I'e finished Handmaid's Tale.

I've just had two in and it's been rather pleasant. One of them is obsessed with the Mr Tumble autumn leaves song on cbeebies. We listened to it quite a bit last week and so today I put out some autumn coloured scarves and fabric autimn leaves and we had a nice music and movement session using the music. Then we went for a lovely walk and got drenched on the way back. I wasn't prepared at all for today because my weekend seemed to have been taken up at A and E on Saturday for DD's insect bites, and then on Sunday going on a hunt for huge plasters to cover them. So, considering how unprepared I was, we've had a nice day.

    Keep dry everyone!

OOOOOOOO .... I'm waiting for DD to have a 'spare' couple of hours to watch Jamie! We saw it in London back in July and just loved it! ( even if 'my boy' made me cry, in fact so did 'it means beautiful' ! )

I did nothing this morning! apart from lie in bed and read, then i went to the library!

I had planned to get on top of my accounts today, but I really don't feel like it !!! instead i've ordered myself a new shell jacket for work! I've had an ncma fleece jacket for a VERY long time, and the zipper has just crumbled! the zip is fine though! I've been looking for a similar fleece jacket, but i don't like elasticated wrists, so have gone for a shell jacket this time. I have a big thick waterproof coat, but needed something a bit lighter.

It was throwing it down between about 8.30 and 10.30am here - my sandpit has a huge puddle in it, but now the sun is shining, although sadly, with none of the warmth of yesterday. did anyone else feel the sun turn the heat off about 4.30/5 ? My mum lives 260 miles south of me, and she said she was was sitting outside, when the warmth seemed to suddenly leave the sun, even though it was still shining, and i felt the same here! I too was very relieved i wasn't doing a school run. Wednesday afternoons will be the worst for me as i have to hang around to drop a child off at an afterschool class, so that will not be fun in the rain!

Hope everyone manages to find fuel if you need it. Luckily I had filled up last week. It has been madness here.

Maza, i often find the best days are the ones you don't really have any plans for!
