    Default Good morning Monday

Have all the children gone back to school now? Is everyone back to just having their little ones?

I've only got one child here today as my other Monday child is still on holiday. I'm only going to have 2 on a Monday for this term, so I'm looking for a nice toddler group to take them to. So far this morning we had a play in the garden, the she fell asleep. When she first started mum says she rarely sleeps in the morning. So far she's slept every morning! I think the early starts are tiring her out.

What's everyone got planned for the week? I'm using this week to get the little ones all settled into a routine with new starters and the older ones having left for school. We'll be doing lots of free play and I'll be observing them to identify favourite toys and toys that aren't even looked at. I'll then pack those away and concentrate on what they do like. I've now got 2 18 month olds who spend their days tipping everything onto the floor and emptying every book off the bookcase. I might need to think about limiting the toys until they get over the throwing/tipping stage. I also need to start setting some simple boundaries because it looks like one child in particular has no boundaries at all at home!

Who watches Bake Off? Yesterday I saw a trailer for the new series, so that's something to look forward to on the TV. There doesn't seem to have been much on lately.

    Enjoy your days everyone.

    Morning !

It was lovely getting back into our routine this morning, dropped 2 off at school then I have just 2 today. I am spending the next couple of weeks getting back in to some sort of routine as have 2 new ones starting. One starts properly this week the other next week. I have one of my reception children for odd days until they start full time properly. Normally I will have 3 on a Monday/Tuesday then just 2 on a Wednesday /Thursday and 1 on a Friday morning so things are a lot quieter for me. There haven't been many enquires either so I will have to see how it goes.

Love Bake Off and soon it will be Strictly time too ! DH has started watching some thing he found on Netflix so I have been reading every evening. I am currently working my way through the Seven sisters books written by Lucinda Riley.

    Afternoon.

I'm trying to have a big tidy up as over the past few weeks my utility and dining room have become dining grounds and if I don't clear them now, I'll never get them back!

Back to school on Wednesday here, so tomorrow we're heading out for a last day of mayhem!

I don't have any schoolies, only DD who will be going into year 8. She's been in today for her second covid test, but was in and out. She starts back tomorrow.

We went to the woods this morning before it got too hot. Then we were in the garden playing with water, so lots of fun. One of my 'newish' ones has always made a fuss at nap times, but today he went off without a peep, so fingers crossed it stays like that.

We finally got a clock for my playroom and DH put it up at the weekend. I love it - little things like that make such a difference. I am forever leaving my phone in a different room and I don't wear a watch, so it was so irritating sometimes not knowing the time.
