    Default Good morning Monday

Here we are at the start of another week. Is anyone else starting to count down the weeks till the summer holidays? As I only look after EYs children and don't do school runs, the holidays aren't actually much different to the rest of the year, but I still look forward to them.

Did everyone have a good weekend? Ours was busy, but productive. I spent yesterday building flat pack furniture for DH's office space so I'm a bit achy today. DH did offer to help, but I politely told him it's quicker if I do it myself!

Before the children arrived this morning I was getting some toys out of the shed when I disturbed a wasp nest. There were lots of wasps in it and they were pretty angry with me so I decided I didn't really need anything else out of the shed, shut the door and left them to it! I'll go and have a look after the children have gone home and see what's happening. Hopefully they'll all have cleared off by then!

What's everyone got planned for the week? One of the children has got a birthday this week, so we're doing birthday/age related activities. We'll have a little party on Thursday when most of the children are here.

    Have good days everyone.

    Afternoon all.

We had a busy weekend with visitors and they've only just gone, so I need to spend today getting ready for the rest of this week!

No real plans, but we'll be outside as much as possible. I've bought some solar paper , so am hoping to make some nice pictures on midsummer's day ( Thursday )

Ps .... Good luck with the wasps Mouse!

Oooh, good luck with the wasps!

I suppose I actually had an ok day in the end. I was on such a downer this morning. DD is having a tough time and isn't enjoying secondary school - she hasn't found a good group of friends yet and is really missing our old life. Last night she was so upset and so today I was just flat. My mindee was lovely though - he's just so easy to please bless him. Then I had a new one round for a settling in session and I thought I was going to be irritated by the mum, but actually she was lovely and her baby was too. DD came home in a brighter mood - I think we'll just have to wait until the next academic year when the classes can mix a bit more so that she can meet new people.

Oh Mouse - it was me who mentioned the series 'Time' a few days ago. We watched it last night and I didn't realise it was so violent and rather depressing. Sean Bean is brilliant in it though, but I'm not sure I'll watch any more of it.

We have had such a quiet day as full timer is on holiday this week and it's amazing how one child not being here changes the whole dynamics and atmosphere! It's been so much calmer

Maza hope things improve for your DD.

Mouse I have started to count down to the summer holidays mainly because I am trying to get organised as after my week off in July it all gets a little crazy with the older ones being here plus trying to fit in settling in sessions for the new ones , I just know it's all going to be a bit mad so making the most of the next two weeks as I have 2 more off on their holidays next week!

Mouse,A wasp makes a nest in my shed every year but this year he nearly finished the nest and I kept going in and out of the shed he left and I took the nest down.i was actually clearing out so I needed to be going in and out.

I’m on holiday at the end of this week for 2 weeks so I don’t seem to be able to get organised with the children this week I’m at a lost for a activity today . Yesterday we had the oat play and fossils and dinosaurs out child loves dinosaurs but today 🤷🏻*♀️ Maybe a sun craft activity to encourage the sun back!
