Guess what...we're in the garden...and it's not raining
It is freezing cold, but it's dry and we've actually got some blue sky and sunshine. The children are wrapped up warm, I've got my thermal socks on and a cup of coffee to drink while they're playing happily. It's been lovely to let them play on the slide and sit-in cars knowing they won't all end up with wet bottoms We'll be going indoors soon for lunch, but it has been a lovely morning outside.

This afternoon we're going to do some baking. I sorted a kitchen cupboard out last night and found a packet of cookie mix. I don't even know where it came from but it's nearing its best before date so I thought we'd use it up today. I've got some Christmas cake decorations left over as well, so I'll see if thee children want to use those. I'm sure they will. They won't mind that it's not Christmas anymore!

Enjoy the rest of your days. I hope none of you are being troubled by the floods
