Dh always gets me flowers and chocolates and then I feel obligated to get him something. This year a springbok rugby t-shirt. So I always buy better gifts
I don't buy my children anything but I know some people do.
Ds had one of my roses to give to a girl. Dd was laughing at him saying Valentine was a load of rubbish. I think they are both right.
Have a good day everyone
When someone tells you nothing is impossible, tell them to go slam a revolving door
Me and my husband don't normally do anything other than a card for Valentines Day and if we go out for a meal it's normally on the 15th as that was the date we started "going out" together, but this year my husband got me a card but I'm still all over the place after losing my dog last week, that I completely forgot! Oh well forgetting for the first time since 1980 isn't the end of the world.
We do buy cards but don’t do anything special. My partner said to me on Monday “I’m expecting a delivery on Wednesday”. I said is that my valentines flowers then. He just laughed and said “no, some cables for my van”. Oh well one can always dream!!

So sorry to hear about your dog hectors house, they are a member of the family and it is so sad when our pets die.
We are a Valentine free zone. We have known each other for 43 years and have never acknowledged this red heart day❣
I understand it does give you a reminder to remember to say I love you and for early romance days might just give that extra boost to make the first move but we have never felt we needed this. I am not bah humbug about it though, it works for others. DH and I have always kept our love important, it is what has helped us stay the course for so long I think, besides I like flowers and chocs more than once a year!
Maza the children made it , they scavenged anything they could find that was red or pink , there’s even apples and plums on there somewhere. They did it while I was making tea and were very excited to show me!
The baby I have today loves it too , I deliberately left it out for her , you’re right it is just like a treasure basket ; she found the fruit very quickly!
Tink that’s amazing!
