Supposed to be retired!!!
Well as some of you might remember I supposedly retired from Childminding last July and that part has been great, no paperwork, no worries about changing legislation, no awkward parents etc, but I am working longer hours looking after my granddaughter, now a typical crazy 2 and a half year old. And to top it all she will become a big sister tomorrow. I have worked it out I will be 68 before I get both of them to school and can finally relax in the day time. I wouldn't change it for the world though, just needed a little moan and I know you all understand what I am talking about.

Wow! How exciting (and exhausting!)
Lovely to hear from you x

That's why I haven't bothered retiring yet!
My grandson is now 18 months old and I have him 4 days a week, not the 2 or 3 days it was going to be. And then there are the extra evenings and weekends that I have him because his parents are exhausted from having worked all week.....
Luckily there are no plans from any of my children to add to the grandchild tally, but then I don't know if that's a good thing or not. Would I be better getting it all over in one go, or am I going to be having grandchildren spread out over the next 20 years? I'll be so old, they'll be the ones looking after me
Good luck to everyone for tomorrow. Do pop back on and let us know about your new grandchild xx

How exciting , hope everything goes well today.
Sounds like the perfect mix to me caring for the children you love without any of the associated regulations! though i may not be saying that when its my turn!

Baby arrived by c section 9.30 am yesterday, weighing in at 8lb 9oz and she was 3 weeks early so goodness knows what she would have been if she had gone full term. She looks exactly the same as Eloise and her name is Florence Ava, will try to get some pictures of her and her big sister soon. Thank you all for you comments. From a very proud Nana of 2 beautiful girls.
