Christmas Baking

Did you use mincemeat inside a chocolate log? That sounds interesting. Have you sampled it yet or are you saving it for the big day?

We're making mince pies tomorrow and I was wondering about other recipes to do with mincemeat.

I make Christmas scones that have a spoonful or 2 of mincemeat added to the dough. Very yummy.

My dad used to like a tray bake that was pastry, topped with a layer of mincemeat and then with layer of cream cheese (aka philly !) ... never did anything for me, but he loved it!

I've also added it to cooked apple to make crumbles.

Enjoy. I have yet to do any baking either mindees or for my family but I've been asked for Christmas Pizza today! - so that's the afternoon sorted out, as long as I remember to make pizza dough!
