Default Monday - back to school

    But at least it's sunny.

Why is it your own children get up early every morning in the holidays but have to be dragged out of bed when it's back to school? Some sort of unwritten law

No children here in the day so an nice and easy first day back and for a change I don't have loads to catch up on.

    Have a lovely day everyone

See, my kids are just weirdos. They get up early regardless of anything else that is going on in the world. Even the 19 year olds got up by 9am this morning, and they are supposed to be on summer break from uni!!

We are just chilling out today, the kids are playing in the yard, and I am watching them whilst I cook lunch. Then they are all leaving me early today.

I'm in winding down mode, ready for our move. This will be my hardest move yet, cos it moves me out of military life and into civvy life, so I know I will never bump into any of my little ones again. I'm finding it hard to anything other than watch them play and have fun, but I must keep up and keep their books nice and full for their new nurseries

A lovely sunny day here. I just gave the children cameras today to take photos .....they both chose to take flowers and plants...an hour of very peaceful play, observering and chatter and a break from the sun to upload them...A great relaxing activity which prompted talk about parts of a flower as they saw " bits" inside. I was surprised that they didn't take each other though..or their favourite toys. My own photography I fear is rubbing off on them. My late MinLaw was always asking where the people were when I showed her my photos.

I just had school runs today, so able to catch up on shopping, library, etc. and enjoy a little sunshine. It's actually too hot to do what I want/need, which is digging the last patch of bare allotment.

Teatime school run was horrible. Children all loud and hyper, but also hot and bothered from being cooped up all day. All shouting at once and being generally silly, showing off and inconsiderate towards one another. I spend the whole time "telling off" and being ignored until one did exactly what he'd been told not to do (for the 1000th time) and hit another straight in the face with a block.

    Oh well, tomorrow's another day...................

    Kind thoughts.

Not sure about me being "experienced" ........... unless it's a polite word for "Old".

Anyway, at my age I'm just grateful to wake up and find I'm still able to move.
