    Default car insurance

    Those who use a car mostly for their own family but occasionally for childminding -some trips or pick up a child, do you insured your car for business or only personal use.

    It doesn't matter how little you use your car to pick up a minded child you must be insured for business use that child will not be covered nor will you should anything happen, it doesn't cost more to do it ring your insurance company and get it sorted.

    Agree with QC if you only make one journey of 1 mile a year carrying a minded child you MUST have business insurance on the car for that journey - It has never cost me any extra to add to my insurance.

    Okay, thanks for your help. We just bought our first car and I wasn't sure what to do.
