Help to find a story/poem
Help needed please.
I have seen a story/poem about a teacher making children draw/paint what she wants them to do rather than what they want to do.
Can anyone remember what it is and where it could be on the forum.
Thanks

Thanks Lal.
This is the one I was thinking of. My friend is a teacher and we were just talking about art and how she finds it difficult to get the TA's not to help the children to make things.
I was trying to tell her about this poem and I couldn't find it anywhere.

Oh I just read that with tears in my eyes, its so lovely. It really makes me cross when I see a childminder doing most of the childs sticking at groups. Yes, some children when you say 'try and make a something or other' the children sometimes need an example to know what something is and then given materials to do it their way.
Lovely poem

That's lovely, im guilty of sometimes helping too much, have to keep reminding myself to leave them to it and let them decide, think I'll print the poem out
