Flooded beyond recognition.
Flooded beyond recognition.
Oh dear, I hope your home isn't flooded x
Berkshire.
House is ok at the moment but who knows. More rain tomorrow and Thursday due.
Datchet has lost power and I think we're next...
Oh my word. Keep safe. x
I was going to ask if you were near because Windsor Castle is in one of the pics. Gosh I hope you are alright it is scary for sure. Our small town is on the rivers Colne, Chess and Gade and we have the Grand Union Canal running trough the town as well. There has been no tow path along most of the canal for over a week, we had Canadian's and Canoes on stand by at out local Scout HQ for the people living on the boats because that was the only way they could get out. In 10 years of living here I have never seen it so bad.
Hi Minstrel
Your photos are heart breaking, I know what you are going through as I was flooded on Xmas eve.
We have lost the whole of our ground floor and are having to live upstairs until all the repairs are done.
Was your house flooded?
If I can help with any advice please PM me xx
In the picture, my house is the one with the green tarp out the window
Toothfairy
The house is fine for now Toothfairy, sorry you weren't so lucky. :-(
Might escape it but we just don't know. Even when it's not raining it's rising. And it's water coming up from underground so it's popping up in random places.
Oh dear! A town near me is flooded by river colne, and all the allotments down the road from me are under and the local children's farm is too
Defo hugs xx stay safe x
Stay safe and warm and dry xx
Big hugs to Minstrel, Toothfairy, Supernanny and anyone else affected.
Wow, Supernanny: is that really The Green Man and the urban farm (poor livestock ) on Faggs Road?!?!? I know there are a lot of watercourses there, but still shocked to see flooding so high above the level of the Thames.
Hope you're all OK.
Oh my goodness. Sending hugs to everyone effected by the floods. Keep safe xxx
If all else fails......add glitter!
Minstrel I am a Staines girl but don't live there now. I am worried about friends and family in the area, my grown up children are in chertsey, but luckily not where it's flooded yet but know some of their friends are. I hope everyone stays safe x
Minstrel, we are just up the road from you also in Berkshire. So far we have been lucky, the local river has flooded the surrounding area but we are situated up a bit from it so have been okay so far. Just down the road from me in Wargrave, Twyford and Hurst are badly affected and with more rain over the next couple of days they are saying it'll be the weekend when it gets really bad.
Hugs to you, it's scary isn't it.

Pouring with rain again, so so heavy :-(
Take care all of you. Minstrel it is pouring with rain here too I'm not that far from you. I managed the Nursery run at !2 in the dry but it doesn't look good for 3pm school run, at least I will only have one with me and I think wellies will be the order of the day.
Yayyyy, went out to school at 1.30 to pick up DD, was pouring of rain and blowing a gale, really horrible. Ten to three now, got to leave at 3 for the school run and the sun has just come out. Please may the next lot of rain stay away until 4pm.
xxxxx
