We had 5 minutes of very wet white stuff just as I took the girls to school at 8am and then it went back to rain

. DD2 was v excited as she wants to sledge in grandma's field - suppose she could surf on the sledge it is so wet on the field!

We are wedged between the Pennines and the Peak District - it hardly ever snows here, we're too low. Just torrential rain for us.

My son posted a couple of hours ago. 'it's snowing in Liverpool'!! I rang him and assured him that he is more than welcome to keep it all to himself oh and the others in Liverpool.
